What are the preschool's hours of operation?

In Bloom Preschool is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are open from September-June.

Where is the preschool located?

We are located in Room 213 at 115 Anson Way (HopeCAT), in Sharon, Pennsylvania

​What is the daily rate?​

Our full day rate (8:00 AM -3:00 PM) is $35/day. Please inquire the rate for less than three days attendance.

Enrollment

What is the age requirement for enrollment?
-
Children must be at least 3 years old by September 1st of the enrollment year and must be potty-trained. In Bloom Preschool is for children 3-5 years old.

How do I register my child for preschool?
-
To register, please fill out our registration form, available on our website or at the preschool. Submit the completed form along with the required documents and registration fee. We will also schedule a tour and intake interview prior to registration.

What documents are required for registration?
-
Required documents include a completed registration form, completed emergency contact form, immunization record, copy of birth certificate, and a recent physical examination report. Other forms include: handbook agreement, tuition agreement, and walking trip/social media waivers.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, there is a non-refundable registration fee of $50. This fee is required to secure your child's spot in our program.

How are payments received?​

Payments may be made via cash, check, ACH, or credit card. ACH or credit card payments may be done through our online Brightwheel system. There is a slight processing fee for ACH and credit card payments. ​

Programs and Curriculum

What curriculum does the preschool follow?
-
We follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Our program includes activities in literacy, math, science, art, music, and social emotional and physical development. In Bloom Preschool believes educating the whole child through hands-on and engaging activities. Additionally, students receive daily instruction in Heggerty Phonics. We also have on emphasis on the creative arts.

Are meals and snacks provided?

Children are required to bring their own lunch. We provide a nutritious morning snack for a small yearly fee.

What is the student-to-staff ratio?

Our student-to-staff ratio is 10:1, ensuring that each child receives individual attention and support.

Health and Safety

What are the health and safety protocols?
-
We follow strict health and safety protocols, including regular cleaning and sanitizing, handwashing routines, and health screenings. We also conduct regular fire and emergency drills.

What happens if my child gets sick at preschool?

If your child becomes ill at preschool, we will contact you to discuss symptoms. Please refer our handbook for more specific illness policies.

Policies and Procedures

What is the policy on holidays and school closures?
-
Please refer to our school calendar for our holiday and school closures. Additionally, we may close for severe weather and/or other emergencies, and we will notify parents via phone and messaging.

What is the pick-up policy?
-
Children can only be picked up by authorized persons listed on the parental consent form. Each family will have their own personalized lanyard/badge that must be shown prior to pick up/drop-off. If their personal badge is not shown; their identity will be ID verified with the parental consent form. There is NO exception to this policy. Any changes in pick-up MUST have prior written notice.

Are there opportunities for parent involvement?

Yes, we encourage parent involvement through volunteering, attending parent-teacher conferences, and participating in special events. In Bloom strongly supports the home/school connection! There will be many opportunities for parent involvement throughout the year.

Early Arrival and After-School Care

Do you offer early arrival and extended care?
-
Yes, we offer early arrival care starting at 7:30 AM and extended care until 4:00 PM. There is no fee for early arrival, and a fee of $1.00 per 15 minutes for extended care. Enrollment for early arrival and after-school care can be done during the registration process. Please indicate your interest on the registration form and speak with the director for more details.
